Payment and Fees
Each clinician sets his or her own fees, and some services are more costly than others. Psychological evaluations may seem costly because, in addition to meeting with the client the clinician spends substantial time interpreting the assessment data and preparing a written report. Forensic evaluations require additional efforts and are also more expensive.
Frequently the costs of mental health treatments (diagnosis and therapy) are partially paid by health insurance. The fees here are set by the insurance provider, who may also require pre-certification of services as well as ongoing monitoring of treatment progress. Our staff will work with you to access the mental health benefits offered by your insurance provider. If you have not met your annual deductible, you will be charged full allowable fee, but these charges will be applied to your deductible.
Some services will not be covered by health insurance. This includes some marriage and family therapy and some psychological assessments. These will be billed to you directly at the time of service.
Whether a client is paying full fee or only a co-pay, we request that fees be paid at the time of service. If you wish to make other arrangements, such as a credit card draft, please speak with our office staff.
